Infamous People who Made Casino Gambling Famous

The first ever slot machine, known as the Liberty Bell, was invented by Charles Fey in 1885. Fey was an auto mechanic in San Francisco when he thought of inventing the Liberty Bell.

The first form of slot machine was made of three spinning wheels that had three featured shapes: spades, diamonds, and hearts plus a cracked Liberty Bell adorning each reel.

It was in 1907 when an arcade like machine maker based in Chicago thought of reproducing machines similar to that of Feys. The manufacturer was named Henry Stephen Mills. The machine was called Operator Bell. It was from this point that slot machines later evolved until they have reached present day form.

In card games such as blackjack, nobody can ever tell how the game started, or who started it. This is because nobody tried to record it for the purpose of history.

However, there were those who conceptualized the basic strategy for playing blackjack. It was in 1958 when Baldwin, Cantey, Maisel and McDermott devised a strategy that caused quite a commotion with both statisticians and the gamblers themselves.

You guessed it... card counting! These four people created the basic gambling systems strategy of playing the game while using hand held calculators. After which, they wrote a book known as Winning Blackjack. This is now considered as one of the most valuable strategies in playing blackjack. In turn, this gave birth to what modern professionals now call as the card counting technique.

These are the same people who helped make the casino gambling world a phenomenon. There are some who do not accept them as great inventors, because of the negative effects of gaming in society. Nevertheless, they contributed a lot to the popularity of playing games of chance to win money.
